Torbole has a fantastic setting by the side of Monte Baldo at the top corner of Lake Garda, just 2km to the east of Riva. It is ideally placed to take advantage of the lake's famous winds, making it an incredibly popular spot for windsurfing and sailing.
The town has a young, energetic atmosphere with many buzzing bars and cafés, plus a good selection of restaurants. Torbole's promenade stretches along the lakeside, leading to the nearby public beaches of Villa Cian, Parco Pavese and Conca d'oro.
There is also great potential for mountain sports in the hilly surrounding country, with excellent mountain biking and hiking routes leading up to altitudes of around 2000m. Climbing is popular too and for those who like a challenge, there are a number of graded via ferratas - climbing routes with fixed ropes and handholds close by.
Torbole offers the best sailing and windsurfing conditions on Lake Garda. Beginners can take to the lake in the calm period between the strong early morning northerly winds and the southerly afternoon breezes.

We have chosen for you the CLUB HOTEL LA VELA.
A very confortable 4 stars hotel situated in a quiet zone, near the lake. Standard rooms and junior suite, provided with tv - sat, telephone, hairdryer, balcony and terrace. Large garden with deck-chairs, swimming - pool with sun zone. International kitchen and local specialties. An ideal place for a holiday, with completely renovated rooms and apartments.
A renown cuisine rich of authentic tastes of the area, served in the restaurant or outdoors. Evening cocktails by the piano bar and a big outdoor swimming pool that fills up literally all the space in front of the Hotel. With the heating lamps and a lot of space to play it is suitable for any age. Adults and little ones can have fun together in the same swimming pool, from one side lower and warm to play and jump, on the other side deeper and wide to swim comfortably and reinvigorate one's body.
In the summer months a miniclub for children 4 to 12 years of age opens, for the joy of the small and even of adults, that can pass a few relaxing hours in our garden entrusting their children to expert and qualified entertainment organisers. There is a big room to accommodate them where they can play and colour until they no longer can and they can even eat with their little friends and continue to cause commotion without embarrassing mother and father!
